FAQs
Welcome to Esthetic Skin. Here’s everything you need to know before and after your treatments!
Anti-Wrinkle Treatments
What product do you use for anti-wrinkle treatments?
At Esthétic Skin we use Azzalure® and Botox® which are injectable products designed to relax the muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles. Both work by blocking nerve signals, leading to smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
How long do anti-wrinkle treatments last?
Results typically last between 3 to 4 months. We recommend regular treatments every 3–6 months to maintain a smooth, wrinkle-free appearance.
Is there any downtime after anti-wrinkle treatments?
Minimal downtime is expected. Some mild redness or swelling at the injection sites may occur but typically resolves within a few hours. Avoid strenuous exercise and facial massages for 24-48 hours post-treatment. Ensure you use the muscles that have been treated to allow the product to have maxmum effect.
Facial Treatments
How does a Hydrafacial differ from a hands-on facial?
A Hydrafacial is a machine-based treatment that uses advanced technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and hydrate the skin in a single session. It delivers quick results, with no downtime. The treatment uses a extraction suction to deeply cleanse pores and infuse nourishing serums for hydration, making it ideal for those looking for fast, visible improvements.
How often should I get a facial?
We recommend facials every 4–6 weeks for optimal skin health and maintenance.
Is there downtime with facial treatments?
Generally, facials have little to no downtime. You might experience some mild redness if extractions are involved, but this usually fades within a few hours.
Dermal Fillers
What are Dermal fillers?
At Esthetic Skin we use Teoxane® and Teyosyal ® products to deliver the best results. They are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin, providing a fuller, more youthful appearance.
How long do lip fillers last?
Lip fillers typically last between 6 to 12 months, depending on factors such as the type of filler used and individual metabolism. To maintain your desired look, you can schedule follow-up treatments as needed.
Is there any downtime after lip filler treatments?
Some swelling, bruising, or redness may occur immediately after the treatment, but this usually resolves within a few days. We recommend avoiding vigorous activity and excessive sun exposure for the first 48 hours.
How soon will I see results from lip fillers?
You will see immediate results, though any swelling will settle within a few days, and the final results will be fully visible after about a week.
Skin Boosters
What are skin boosters?
Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. They help improve skin texture, elasticity, and moisture levels from the inside out, resulting in a smoother, more youthful complexion.
How many sessions are needed for skin boosters?
Typically, 2 to 3 sessions are recommended, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions may be required every 6-12 months.
Is there any downtime with skin boosters?
Minimal downtime is expected. You may experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising, but this usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days.
Laser Hair Removal
How does laser hair removal work?
Laser hair removal uses a concentrated light beam to target and destroy hair follicles, preventing future hair growth. It’s a long-term solution for removing unwanted hair from areas like the face, legs, underarms, and bikini line.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes – an initial consultation and test patch is required to ensure your skin type is suitable for treatment.
How do I prepare for my treatment?
Do not bleach, wax or use hair removal creams for 2 weeks before or during your course of treatments. Please shave the area you wish to be treated prior to your appointment. Avoid the sun and sunbeds for 4 weeks prior to and after treatment.
How many sessions do I need for laser hair removal?
For optimal results, most clients need 6-8 sessions, spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. After completing the initial series, maintenance treatments may be needed every 6-12 months.
Is there any downtime with laser hair removal?
There is minimal downtime. You may experience mild redness or swelling similar to a sunburn, but it typically resolves within a few hours. Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks after treatment.
Are the results permanent?
Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction, but results vary from person to person. Occasional maintenance sessions may be needed to keep your results optimal.
